Greengate School at Randolph offers high-quality training classes for teachers.
Associate Level Courses
Associate Level courses are offered virtually, with synchronous and asynchronous work. They are open to the public. Hours are designated for those hoping to advance their Academy accreditation.
- Part One is appropriate for those working with young readers and struggling readers of all ages.
- Part Two is a continuation of Part One and takes a deeper dive into advanced morphology, vocabulary, and written expression for student in grades 3-12.
All class times are CST. Class fees are non-refundable.

Course Requirements and Certification Pathway
A pre-requisite for this course is the first 40 hours of the Associate Level Coursework (Part One), led by any OGA Fellow or Fellow in Training, or participation in any of Jennings Miller's "First 30 Hours" or "Science of Reading for the Classroom Educator" trainings. In conjunction with the Orton-Gillingham Associate Part One, this course will satisfy the 70 hours of the coursework requirement at the Associate Level of certification with the Orton-Gillingham Academy.
Supervised Practicum is available to those wishing to deepen their knowledge of the approach and wish to apply to the Academy. Please contact Greengate School at Randolph or Jennings for more information.
About The Instructor
Jennings Miller, M.Ed., is a Fellow in the Orton-Gillingham Academy and a Certified Orton-Gillingham/Multisensory Math Trainer. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, she spent ten years teaching at The Marcus Autism Center and The Schenck School in Atlanta before founding a private dyslexia therapy practice in Decatur, GA.
With more than 7,000 hours of one-on-one instruction, Jennings has developed training programs and mentored educators, schools, and nonprofits nationwide. She leads workshops on Orton-Gillingham-based multisensory math and literacy instruction and has presented at national conferences. A former Vice President of the International Dyslexia Association–Georgia Branch, she received the IDA-GA Outstanding Service Award in 2018 and currently serves on the OGA programs committee. Jennings is also the author of The Alphabet King and Fat Sam and Friends.
