A Message from the Head of School

We see the Randolph Difference every day. Students being mentored by their teachers. Students working shoulder-to-shoulder on a project, athletic team, or in a play or concert. Students practicing the habits of mind and exercising the character traits critical to success in our modern world. At Randolph School, we are a dedicated learning community in which students are at the center.

A family’s decision to join Randolph School is a decision to join this community. It’s a commitment to our mission: Seeking Truth. Building Character. Nurturing All. For more than 60 years, Randolph School has successfully fulfilled its mission because of the commitment of the entire community — faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, grandparents, and many others — to ensuring that this mission comes alive for every child, every day.

About Adam Dubé

Adam Dubé has served as Head of School at Randolph School since 2020, guiding the School through one of the most transformative chapters in its history. Before joining Randolph, he served as Head of School at Columbia Independent School in Columbia, Missouri, from 2013 to 2020.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri and a Master of Arts in Education Leadership from the Klingenstein Center at Columbia University. Prior to his career in education, he served four years in the United States Marine Corps.

Since joining Randolph, Mr. Dubé has led with a steadfast commitment to the School's mission of challenging and supporting every student to reach their full potential. Under his leadership, Randolph has expanded its campus, strengthened its programs, and advanced a long-term vision for the School's future. Milestones include the acquisition of 26 adjoining acres on the Garth Campus, the groundbreaking of the Leo Center for Excellence, and plans for a new Lower School that will bring Randolph closer to its long-term vision of uniting all students on a single campus.

As Huntsville has grown into a hub for 21st-century innovation and industry, Mr. Dubé has led Randolph's growth alongside it while remaining rooted in the values, mission, and traditions that have defined the School since 1959.

Board of Trustees

As an independent school, Randolph is governed by a Board of Trustees whose members serve the School on a voluntary basis. The Board is responsible for the Head of School, and its primary work is long-term and strategic. The Head of School, in partnership with School administration, is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management.

NAIS, the National Association of Independent Schools, of which Randolph is a member, published these Principles of Good Practice for a school’s Board of Trustees.

Board Members also lead and serve on five standing committees: Trustees, Finance, Operations, Strategic Planning, and Development.
