Greengate School at Randolph is a trusted resource for dyslexia support in our community, offering evaluations, tutoring, summer reading programs, Orton-Gillingham training for educators, parent education, dyslexia simulations, advocacy, and community outreach.

These services are open to the community and not limited to families enrolled at Greengate School at Randolph.


 

Dyslexia Simulations

Experience Dyslexia, presented by staff members of Greengate School at Randolph, is a powerful dyslexia simulation that lets participants experience some of the challenges and frustrations that people with dyslexia face every day. 
 

A New Perspective

The simulation provides a lively, thought-provoking experience for teachers, parents, and anyone interested in understanding the lives of people with dyslexia.

This immersive experience gives participants a firsthand understanding of the challenges individuals with dyslexia face every day. Simulations are free, offered quarterly, and open to all.

Dyslexia Testing 

Greengate Services provides onsite educational testing, including our Dyslexia Battery, a series of seven tests to assess phonological awareness, oral and written language skills, spelling, non-verbal intelligence, word reading efficiency, oral reading fluency and comprehension, as well as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-WISC-V. We also offer an Emergent Literacy Assessment for children ages 3-5.

Evaluation Process

Testing is conducted by our school psychometrist. 

The evaluation includes testing, scoring and analysis, a written report with recommendations and feedback session.

 

Testing through Greengate Services is a fee-based service and we are unable to process charges to insurance companies. Therefore, we request full payment be made at the time of service.

Summer Reading Programs

Help your child build confidence and maintain academic momentum over summer with Greengate's four-week Summer Reading Program.

Continued Momentum

Designed for students entering grades 1–5 with reading difficulties, the program strengthens reading, language, and math skills while helping prevent summer learning loss.

 

Students receive daily small-group instruction from specialists trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, a research-based, multi-sensory method that supports bright learners who struggle with reading, spelling, and writing. With personalized instruction in a supportive environment, students build essential skills and return to school ready for success.
