Randolph School Celebrates Opening of the Leo Center for Excellence
On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Randolph School celebrated the opening of the Leo Center for Excellence, a transformative new facility designed to expand opportunities for athletics, innovation, collaboration, and community connection for generations to come.
The opening marks a major milestone in Randolph’s continued commitment to providing exceptional experiences for students while investing in the future of the School and the broader Huntsville community. Once fully complete, the Leo Center for Excellence will serve as a hub for students, alumni, faculty, and community partners to gather, learn, compete, and collaborate in meaningful ways.
A Community Effort.
The project was made possible through the generosity and leadership of many dedicated supporters, including lead donors Karl and Fay Leo, whose vision and philanthropy helped bring the center to life. School leaders also recognized the contributions of Board Member Rudy Hornsby, Incoming Board Chair Erin Bailey, Head of School Adam Dubé, Chief Financial Officer James Cooper, Director of Development Meade Davis, and countless donors, volunteers, families, and community members who played a role in the project’s realization.
The celebration brought together students, faculty, alumni, trustees, families, and supporters for a special moment in Randolph history. Guests gathered to reflect on the vision behind the center, tour the new spaces, and look ahead to the opportunities the facility will create for current and future students.
A Vision for the Future
Designed to support a wide range of programs and experiences, the Leo Center for Excellence reflects Randolph’s belief that education extends far beyond the classroom. The center will provide flexible spaces that encourage teamwork, leadership development, athletic excellence, innovation, and transformative learning opportunities across disciplines.
Head of School Adam Dubé shared that the center represents both a significant investment in students and a reflection of Randolph’s mission and values.
“The Leo Center for Excellence is more than a facility. It is a reflection of what is possible when a community comes together around a shared vision for students,” said Dubé. “This space will create opportunities for learning, connection, competition, and growth that will impact students and families for years to come.”
The project also represents Randolph’s continued momentum as the School evolves to meet the needs of future generations while remaining rooted in its mission of Seeking Truth. Building Character. Nurturing All.
From athletics and wellness to innovation and collaboration, the Leo Center is designed to foster experiences that challenge and inspire students both inside and outside the classroom. School leaders noted that the center will continue to evolve as new programs, partnerships, and opportunities emerge.
For many in attendance, the opening was both a celebration of progress and a testament to the strength of the Randolph community. The center stands as a symbol of what can be accomplished through generosity, vision, and a shared commitment to creating extraordinary opportunities for students.
