What began as a way to support my children's experiences quickly grew into something much deeper: a genuine connection with the students in their classes, a familiarity with their friends, and meaningful relationships with nearly every teacher at the Lower School. Volunteering gave me a window into the interactions that shape their days, and it allowed me to witness firsthand the kindness, curiosity, and growth that flourish at Randolph. |
One of the most impactful experiences for me has been organizing Nutrition Week during Interim Week for the past three years. Each year, I am overwhelmed by the willingness of the school, staff, and fellow parent volunteers to support the ideas I bring to the table. Their enthusiasm and dedication remind me of what makes Randolph so special. Here, I feel heard. My ideas are welcomed, my efforts are valued, and together, we make those ideas come to life for the students. It is a powerful feeling to know that what you contribute matters.
Volunteering at the School is not only fun and interesting, but it also opens the door to new friendships with other parents and deeper connections with the school community. More importantly, it helps create a positive and supportive environment that our children feel every single day. When parents step in to lend a hand, it sends a message to our kids that their school matters and that they matter.
Supporting the Annual Fund is another important way to contribute to that environment. Every gift, no matter the size, makes it possible for Randolph to invest in extracurricular projects, classroom supplies, and the growth of programs that enrich our children's learning. Volunteerism and philanthropy work together to enhance the student experience and support the teachers and staff who make it all possible.
