The Jones Family For our family, Randolph has been more than just a school. It has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made as parents. As an alumnus, I (Raymond II) attended Randolph from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and I can say without hesitation that it prepared me for the world. The foundation I received there shaped who I am, and I was proud to return years later to serve on the Board. I was constantly impressed by the intelligence, dedication, and thoughtfulness of those around me. When it came time to choose a school for our children, we knew what Randolph had to offer. Our only regret is not making the move sooner. Our son, Raymond III, joined in 8th grade, and our daughter, Katherine, started in 6th. From the beginning, they were welcomed into a community where curiosity is encouraged, relationships with teachers and administrators are strong, and students are empowered to ask questions and engage deeply in their learning. In their previous school setting, speaking up wasn’t always possible. At Randolph, it’s expected.

One of the things that makes Randolph special is its people. The friendships our children have built are lasting and meaningful. Our son often refers to his group of friends as brothers. The bond between families, faculty, and staff creates an incredible sense of partnership. It truly takes a village, and Randolph is that village. Whether it's collaborating with teachers, cheering at sporting events, or sending your child off on an Interim trip without you for the first time, you always feel part of something bigger.

We believe so strongly in Randolph that we’ve invested in its future. The School has outgrown its current space, and we’re excited to see how the new facilities will reflect the vibrant, welcoming, and forward-thinking spirit of the community. We hope that one day, not only will our children return to Huntsville, but that future generations also will have the same opportunity.

We remember hearing a senior student speak and thinking...

“If we can raise children who are even half as poised and thoughtful, we’ll be doing just fine.” 

That’s the kind of impact Randolph has. It shapes confident, compassionate, capable people, and we’re grateful to be part of it.
