Randolph started offering Interim in 1976, with mini-courses for students to explore interests outside of the traditional classroom curriculum. Over the years, it has expanded to all grades, to include travel and job shadowing.
The week of Interim includes grade-level trips for some grades, while K-3 and 5/6 students take mini-courses in topics they have chosen. Our alumni, students, and teachers cherish this special week in the school year that takes our learning into the community and the world.
The benefits of Interim have a profound impact on all of our students. There is an expansiveness and a joy in taking that break each spring to learn something new and see things differently. It is a school tradition worth celebrating.
