"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
Winston Churchill
Voluntary giving is a tradition among independent, non-profit schools like Randolph. Tuition alone does not cover the full expense of a Randolph education, nor does it provide the substantial funds needed for financial aid, faculty professional growth, and the addition of new buildings and other major capital improvements.
As an independent school, Randolph does not receive any money from local, state, and federal governments. That independence provides unparalleled opportunities for Randolph to develop challenging, innovative and creative educational programs. It also means the school is fully dependent on tuition and charitable gifts (endowment interest and annual giving) to support the faculty and the wide range of programs that are offered.
Randolph depends upon the many constituents of the Randolph community—made up of current families, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and friends—to generously contribute to various programs and funds throughout the year. This culture of voluntary giving creates a partnership between the school and the Randolph community to provide the highest quality education and opportunities for our students today and tomorrow.
