Reyes, who holds a master's degree in education, joined the faculty at Randolph School in 1999. Prior to that, she was an instructor at the Huntsville Museum of Art, where she still teaches during summers, and at the Rockford Art Museum in Illinois. Reyes has been nominated for inclusion in Who's Who Among American Teachers, and regularly attends a wide range of professional workshops and conferences, most notably at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work has been included in the Teacher's Biennial Exhibition held during Huntsville's Youth Art Month.

Her husband, David Reyes, is the Curator of Exhibitions at the Huntsville Museum of Art.
