A native of Colombia who has been a naturalized American citizen since 1971, Prucha holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish/French literature and education, and a master's degree in Spanish literature. She joined the Randolph School faculty with over 30 years of teaching experience, including previous experience at Randolph. She was a substitute teacher here in 1991-1992 and a Spanish and French teacher in 1993-1995, when she started the Middle School Language Program at Randolph School.
Prucha also has teaching experience at independent schools in St. Petersburg, Fla., and at the Grace School in Houston, Texas.
She and her husband, Stephen, have two children: Ana Marina and Elena Isabel.
