Seventh-grade life science
Vaughn holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a master’s degree in biological sciences. She joined the Randolph School faculty with experience teaching at the college level and 26 years of experience teaching at the high school level.
In 1990, Vaughn was the Madison County recipient of the Governor's Industry Internship Award for Math/Science Teachers. In 1987, she participated in the Teachers' Space Orientation Program at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. In 1986, she was a participant in a NASA educational workshop for mathematics and science teachers (NEWMAST) at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Vaughn is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honor society for women educators; the National Association of Science Teachers; and the National Association of Biology Teachers.
